Guess What?! I’m pregnant!

April fools! I thought this would be a perfect time to start my blog! I pulled this trick on my husband last year, (he has a few more grey hairs…and spends a lot more time on the tractor) But it got your attention the way it got his, didn’t it?!
Actually, sometimes I think about having another baby, followed immediately by, I must be crazy. I heard Samantha Bee on The Daily Show say …something to the effect of women who juggle career and raising a family must be crazy. I think that’s going to be my new tag line.
Honestly, I get my baby fix with birth and newborn sessions. Although it’s with mixed emotions, watching the miracle unfold in all it’s glory and pain (ouch) and looking forward to the sweet newborn session that follows with a content nursing or sleeping little one.
Maternity sessions are probably one of my favorites. In having the potential opportunity to experience another birth and watch a little one grow that first spectacular year of life.
I know it’s not all sunshine and roses…believe me, now that I have a teenager and 4 more trying to catch up to her as quickly as possible…I understand why the wild sometimes eat their young…
Actually, this year has been very good to us. We finally took a vacation, the first in many years, and several children ago. (It’s very hard to pull yourself away running your own business…you don’t get vacation time…no more than those sick days, momma 
It was the most awesome vacation we’ve ever had! I wish I would have been a good enough skier to have recorded all 7 of us coming down the mountain! I couldn’t stop grinning watching my two youngest, 5 and 7 year olds, skiing with their hands on their hips. (You see, the instructors teach the little ones to ski without using polls…very amazing to me) Oh, and they were so proud! Watching them terrified me at times, when they got too close to the edge and I would scream like a mad woman. But over-all, it was a good time!
My oldest has begun shadowing me while working…weddings, private sessions and seasonal mini-sessions. That has been really cool… having my 15 year old actually wanting to spend time with me…and work of all things. I am blessed :)
On a different note, for you mommas who ‘need to get away’….No we’re not taking a Southwest airlines flight but….I want to invite you to join me and a few friends to take the weekend off, go tubin’ down the Guadalupe, dinner, a few drinks…some live music and shopping…It will be a ton of fun! Tell me you can’t use it?! It’s only a weekend….I promise you’ll be glad you did! We’re going this summer, so let me know if you are interested! We can go in my new ride
Bought it on ebay, baby ;) Then booked a flight for my man to pick it up….Yee-haw!
