Somethin’ Different from Natalie Blake - Dripping Springs Photographer

Well…it’s been a week since my 1^st blog.  Do you have your coffee?   Well…heat it up again, I’ll wait :) 

Don’t we all just wish we could be a fly on the wall in someone else’s life?  But we hate to admit we like the reality shows….yuck.  Actually, my husband does hate them and we never even catch episodes of American Idol.  Hard to believe, I know.  We don’t have much time to catch much tv anyhow, imagine…5 kids.  Go figure?  Outside of T-ball, volleyball, auditions, acting/performances, gymnastics, football, violin lessons, swim-team and motocross (the only activity we are ALL involved in).  The one time we sat as a family to watch American Idol, was when Paul?  (Hold on, I’m consulting a child)…sorry…his name is Simon, (I knew that).  Anyway, he told this kid not only was he a horrible singer and shouldn’t quit his day job, but addded that he looked like a Bush monkey.  (If you didn’t see the aftermath on the Today show…you might be even more isolated than I am when it comes to tv). 

Well, Michael, my husband, seeing the first episode of American Idol proclaimed that was the end of that.  So what we hear about American Idol, we hear on local radio…mix 94.7 or the kids who bring information home from school.  (And not all bad, although some of the subjects they learn about (or questions they bring to me)…well, I’ve considered home-schooling…momentarily). 

As many of you know, Zachary will be participating in a local theatrical performance of Wizard of Oz this summer.  The tickets go quickly and it’s always a sold out show.  If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll hook you up!  And for those interested in auditions, I just came across this one for Walt Disney who’ll be holding a casting call April 20^th here in Austin, take a look, pass it on and good luck!

And…for those of you I’ve spoken with recently, (and those I haven’t had the pleasure)…I’m planning a girls weekend this summer, full of tubin’ shoppin’ and dinin’ from New Braunfels to Fredricksburg to Congress Ave…and having a great time! (and a little surprise at the end   The date is set for:  Friday August 16^th-Sunday August 18^th.  Tell me you don’t deserve it?  I’ve been a stay at home mom and a working mom trying to juggle everything, (prerequisite:  being a little crazy).  So I know, either way…it’s earned and you’ll be rejuvenated when you return!  Shoot me an email…I  hope you can join us!
