Birth photography…my first love :)

The first 48 hours are so amazing. I loved that time in the hospital, bonding with my little ones after waiting for 9 months wondering what they would be like. Having 5 of my own, I’m so amazed at how incredibly different they all are, each with they’re own unique personalities.
I think in my next life, I’ll come back as a midwife. Until then, I’ll enjoy the maternity, birth and newborn sessions. Maybe when I get all the kids through school…I’ll go back myself. Hmmmm…..
Actually, after our oldest child requested to be in the room during her youngest brothers birth…she decided that she wants to be a doctor. She sure was an awesome coach when her baby brother was born, it was the best delivery yet! (Although, after having her take some pictures during the event almost 6 years ago -Hence my epiphany and birth photography pioneer- I’m so grateful I took that roll of film to a local convenient store photo-lab rather than a professional one, (although I’ll never step foot in there again :) But don’t let that scare you off…my images can remain very discreet if you prefer. Capturing the bond between parents and the emotion of the event. After all, this one is just as important as your Wedding day, it’s a celebration of love :)
Newborn sessions are a wonderful idea as a baby shower gift! I make it easy and go to Momma…there’s no need for you to get out. We’ll have plenty of time for breaks if needed. This was a wonderful session…thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!
