Okay, remember the audition for The Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop I mentioned back in May? Well, I decided after picking up the kids that afternoon to make the drive into Austin and take a chance at the audition. I mean we were straight from school, so they were definately getting “a real family.” Hey…they asked for it! The audition took all of 40 minutes and I drove home thinking it was another opportunity to practice, (at least for my little actor). 3 days later we received a call that they wanted our family back for the photo shoot.

So we spent 3 days at the Lost Pines, playing models for the day. 2 of my children have been doing this for a couple of years, but it was a new experience for the rest of us, (especially to be on the other side of the camera).

We went rafting down the Colorado River and were supposed to shoot during the zip line, but the Bastrop fire put that one on hold. Anyway, it was a neat experience and I would definately take the opportunity to spend a few nights at The Lost Pines again!
