The kids went back to school today…
Aug 25th, 2008 by Natalie
Our baby started kindergarten and melancholy is rearing it’s ugly head. It’s way too quiet in the house today. Although, I’ve probably gotten more done in the last 3 hours than I have all summer.
Granted I’ve had many days, where I would think (sometimes out loud) I can’t wait until school starts. Which I swore I’d never do, because it drove me crazy when my mother said it! But…I’m already missing them.
I’ve always had a hard time saying good-bye. Every New Year that comes, and we sing it…You know, that song…Auld Lang Syne? Well, it makes me very sad. Is it change, saying good-bye to the old and hello to something new. Maybe, either way…it’s too much for me today.
Well, that was depressing. On another note: There’s still one more week-end for Broadway under the Stars! If you haven’t made it out yet, take the opportunity! They have some very talented actors and put on quite a show!
